John Furr is a Montgomery native and a rare mix of creative thinker and technical powerhouse. With a mind wired for curiosity, John has spent his life mastering new skills, especially in the ever-evolving programming world. A true polyglot in code, he has experience in various programming languages. He is focused on Drupal development for Dogwood, where he brings precision and adaptability to every project.
John has been equally drawn to art and technology from a young age. He was the kind of kid who disassembled electronics to understand how they worked—sometimes even managing to put them back together. With early access to computers and tools like Photoshop and a pen tablet, he quickly found a way to merge his creative side with his love of tech.
John holds a BFA in Design Arts with a concentration in Digital Media and a minor in Art History from the Memphis College of Art. Before joining Dogwood, he spent five years at an advertising agency and three years freelancing across IT, design, and web development—building a deep, versatile toolkit.
Outside of work, John stays hands-on—whether tinkering with cars, playing paintball, capturing life through photography, or gaming. He’s a proud uncle, a twin, and someone who’s always up for learning something new, often just for the challenge of mastering it.
