Dogwood and the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions were honored with three prestigious awards at the Wilmer C. Fields Awards Competition, held Tuesday, April 22, at The Menger Hotel in San Antonio, Texas.
The recognition came during the 70th annual meeting of the Baptist Communicators Association (BCA), where Dogwood and its partners were awarded in the Interactive Communications Division. The honors included:
- First Place – Website Redesign for alsbom.org
- Second Place – Website for callingoutthecalled.org
- Second Place – Fortify Social Media Campaign
Dogwood Marketing Strategist Bekah Gordon accepted the awards on behalf of the team. Bekah, who specializes in partnering with religious organizations, played a key role in the success of these projects.
“Collaborating with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions on these initiatives has been an incredible opportunity,” said Gordon. “We’re honored to help support their mission through innovative digital strategies.”
The Baptist Communicators Association, founded in 1953, is a national professional development organization that supports communicators across Southern Baptist agencies—including the International Mission Board, North American Mission Board, GuideStone Financial Resources—as well as state conventions, universities, and Baptist media outlets. Members represent seven key categories: editorial, public relations, electronic media, photography, management, marketing, and graphic design.
Next year’s BCA gathering will be hosted in Mobile, Alabama, continuing the tradition of fostering excellence in Baptist communication.
