Who Is Greg Olson?
Greg Olson played in Major League Baseball from 1989 to 1993, primarily with the Atlanta Braves. He was a key figure during the Braves’ rise in the early ’90s, notably catching for legendary pitchers like Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, and Tom Glavine. Olson’s defensive prowess and leadership were instrumental in the Braves’ 1991 World Series run. One of his most memorable moments came during Game 1 of the 1991 World Series when he held onto the ball after a dramatic collision at home plate with Dan Gladden of the Minnesota Twins, showcasing his toughness and determination.
After retiring from baseball, Olson transitioned into the business world and is currently the general manager at Bearpath Golf & Country Club in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
